  • Rocket Pool integration lets users stake ETH on Ronin without locking assets or losing liquidity.
  • Users can earn yield via rETH and benefit from Katana v3 liquidity pools.

Sky Mavis has finally opened a new chapter in the world of staking on the Ronin Network. Through their official announcement, they announced that Rocket Pool is now fully integrated into Ronin. This means that users can stake ETH directly through the Ronin network and earn rETH, a token whose value automatically grows over time.

rETH is a liquid staking token that functions as a yield-bearing asset, automatically increasing in value over time.

Staking Meets Freedom: How rETH Changes the Game on Ronin

What if you could stake ETH without having to lock it up for months. Well, that’s the main idea behind rETH. Once you exchange ETH for rETH, for example through Katana DEX, this token starts to increase in value because it absorbs the yield from staking on Ethereum. And because rETH can still be traded at any time, you are not trapped like in traditional staking.

Not only that, users can also dive deeper through the rETH-wETH liquidity pool on Katana v3. In addition to getting yield from staking, you can also harvest RON tokens through Ronin Blitz and additional rETH from the Rocket Pool community. Maybe it’s similar to renting a property that also serves as a place of business: you enjoy two streams of income at once.

However, this big step does not stand alone. Ronin has been busy changing its face lately. On February 12, 2025, they announced the launch of Open Ronin, ending the era of being a closed gaming network.

Now, anyone can develop DeFi, infrastructure, or consumer applications via smart contracts on Ronin—without having to ask for permission first. It feels like a city that used to have one entrance is now opening all its gates.

NFTs, Bridges, and a Game That’s Already Breaking Records

On the other hand, CNF previously reported that Ronin is now also fully live on OpenSea. This paves the way for NFT creators on Ronin to sell and launch their collections more easily. No more complicated cross-chain solutions or unexpected additional costs. Even game developers can now build directly on Ronin with the tools provided by Sky Mavis, which are indeed intended to facilitate game and NFT projects.

Furthermore, Ronin has also completed its migration to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on April 25, 2025. This move is not just an upgrade, but actually cuts off the source of the old problem: the vulnerable cross-chain bridge.

With this new system, every cross-chain transaction is more secure, and all users are required to switch to the new bridge to continue transacting.

If you think this is just a technicality, wait a minute. Ragnarok Landverse Genesis, an MMORPG built on Ronin, has already proven that the community is responding enthusiastically. Since its launch in late March, the game has recorded a trading volume of over 1 million RON in just a few weeks.

Meanwhile, as of press time, RON is swapped hands at about $0.7332, up 4.84% over the last 24 hours and 7.80% over the last 7 days.
