After previously actively building a name through NFTs and cute toys, Pudgy Penguins has now officially entered the world of children’s literature. Their first picture book, “The Worst Birthday Present Ever,” is now available for pre-order at major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble. This isn’t just a small print run—it’s published by Random House Children’s Books, one of the world’s leading children’s book publishers.
For Kids, by Penguins: A Book Full of Surprises
The story in this book is designed for children ages 4 to 8, with colorful illustrations created by Kuma Labs and Pudgy’s in-house creative team. The book is a 7×7 inch hardcover, 40 pages long, and will be officially released on November 4, 2025.
As the title suggests, the story revolves around birthdays and presents that… well, you could say are misplaced. But that’s where the story of friendship, surprises, and how kids deal with disappointment emerges.
Pre-orders for the physical edition are priced at around $9.99, while the e-book version is available for $6.99 on digital platforms like Amazon and Apple Books.
Miles, Wallets, and NASCAR: Expanding Beyond the Usual
When you think about it, Pudgy Penguins’ journey is certainly unusual. They weren’t a children’s book brand to begin with. But who would have thought that these furry creatures from the Web3 world would now grace the shelves of major stores in the US. Interestingly, this isn’t their only move to reach a wider audience.
They’ve previously partnered with NASCAR to bring the “Pengu” characters to the racing circuit. While there aren’t many details about the partnership, it does reflect a goal to bring their IP into the traditional entertainment industry and expand their presence beyond the crypto community.
On the other hand, as we’ve covered, Pudgy Shop users can now also earn Lufthansa miles every time they make a transaction using fiat or PENGU tokens. So buy cute stuff and collect points for plane tickets at the same time—who could say no? This collaboration provides real value for users, especially since Lufthansa is the largest frequent flyer program in Europe.
Furthermore, they have also collaborated with Ledger to launch 1,000 exclusive units of Ledger Flex Wallet designed specifically for the Web3 community. This product is already available globally through their official website and even appeared on the big stage of TOKEN2049 in Dubai some time ago.
Speaking of tokens, PENGU’s performance is also quite stable. In the middle of the sluggish crypto market conditions in the last few days, PENGU has actually moved up 1.18% in the last 24 hours and is now in the range of $0.0094. This brings a little smile to holders who are waiting for new movements from the Pudgy ecosystem.
