Why starving Gaza is never going to defeat Hamas

Ahmed Ali Al Batniji, 17,  sits with his mother in their makeshift shelter in Gaza City.  The teenager suffered from celiac disease which made his body intolerant to gluten.  After Israel's seige of the enclave and halt to food deliveries in March,  most of the food he relied on disappeared from markets.

Despite Israel’s denials of famine and a recent uptick in food delivery, starvation in Gaza is getting worse. Before his death, a 17-year-old described to CBC News how his body and life were shutting down from a lack of food.
