Trump's rejection of US intel on Iran strikes reflects long history of discrediting spy agencies

After an initial US intelligence assessment found Iran’s nuclear program had been set back by only a matter of months by American strikes this weekend, President Donald Trump insisted the country's nuclear programme had been “obliterated”.
