Top 3 Indicators Point to Explosive Altcoin Rally Ahead
  • Santiment, a crypto data intelligence platfrom has laid out a list of 10 key trending topics that are driving the crypto market during this week.
  • One key trend is the negotiations that the China and US officials had over the weekend that resulted in a pause on the trade war.

Since February 4, Bitcoin had been stuck below the $100,000 mark, but that changed on May 9 when it surged to $103,200. As expected, Ethereum followed suit, jumping past $1,900 and currently trading around $2,470.

Fast forward to this week, and all eyes are on what comes next. Santiment, a crypto and blockchain analytics platform, shared a detailed post on X outlining 10 key trends that could shape the direction of the crypto market in the days ahead.

Key Opinion Leaders and MCP Metrics

Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) are major players in the crypto space. Whether they’re backing new tokens, joining liquidity pools, or influencing market cap shifts, their involvement is hard to ignore. When a well-known KOL like Arthur Hayes, Justin Sun, or Murad Mahmudov promotes a project, it often sparks a wave of interest, and prices can surge quickly. But just as fast as they rise, those prices can correct, making it a high-stakes environment for traders.

Meanwhile, the term MCP is popping up more in crypto circles. You’ll often see it mentioned in the same breath as metrics like “MCP values,” liquidity in SOL, and holder counts. That’s because MCP is increasingly viewed as a key financial metric, or even a token identifier, in its own right.

Solana Interest surges

Several KOLs have started shifting their focus to a range of Solana-based tokens, signaling renewed interest and active trading in the ecosystem. Adding to the momentum, Canadian public company SOL Strategies has teamed up with Australia’s DigitalX to launch institutional staking services for Solana,  a big step toward broader adoption.

On the market side, SOL is showing real strength. It’s up more than 18.27% in just the past week and is currently trading around $171, a 2.45% loss in the last 24 hours. With bullish sentiment building, analysts are now watching for a breakout toward the $200 mark.

Holders, Register, and Liquidity

The term Holders has become a go-to metric in token analysis. It’s being used more and more to reflect how many individuals are currently holding a particular token, often cited right alongside market cap and liquidity.

Furthermore, ‘register’ is also trending, especially in promotional content. It’s often used in calls to action, encouraging users to sign up through a link or direct message for early access to investment opportunities, usually involving USDT. Also, mentions of ‘liq’ or liquidity are frequent, especially within the Solana ecosystem. It is used to denote the amount of liquidity in SOL and its equivalent USD value for different tokens that KOLs have recently invested in.

China-US Tariff Deal

Markets rallied on Monday after President Trump announced that trade talks over the weekend had led to a “total reset” in U.S.-China relations. As part of the agreement, the U.S. will reduce tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China will cut its tariffs on American goods from 125% to 10%. This move is being seen as a temporary truce in the trade war, boosting investor confidence across global markets.

Key Words: Link, Shoutout, and Immediately

The word ‘link’ also frequently appears in promotional messages encouraging users to click on a link to learn more about new investment opportunities and is used as a common tactic to direct traffic to registration or informational pages.

Meanwhile, the terms Shoutout and immediately are also used in promotional texts urging quick action and are used to gain traction in crypto and NFT social circles. It’s commonly used to recognize and appreciate KOLs who have recently backed a token or project. These public acknowledgments serve as social proof, amplifying the perceived credibility and momentum of the investment.
