Donald Trump and the media are feeding you false information about the president's goals surrounding Iran, according to a former Trump associate.
Author and former Trump insider Lev Parnas, who has reported on Trump's purported "humiliation" by Russia's Putin, on Saturday published a piece entitled, "Donnie Two Weeks Strikes Again: The Iran Bombshell They’re Not Telling You," in which he purports to drop "what’s really happening right now—not the noise the media is feeding you."
"Because if you turn on your TV, or scroll any major headline, all you’ll hear is how Donald Trump is supposedly 'torn' over whether to strike Iran. But you won’t hear anything about the real negotiations, the real pressure, and the real players pulling the strings. That’s what I’m here to tell you," the ex-insider said. "Because once again—Donnie Two Weeks is playing his game."
Parnas goes on to "expose" that the "two week" delay from Trump is part of a plan to get out of a tough situation. For one, Putin won't "let" Trump strike Iran yet, according to the former associate.
"Donald Trump wants to strike Iran. He wants the credit. My sources— people who know—tell me Trump wants to go down in history as the man who 'took out' Iran’s nuclear facilities. That’s the legacy he craves," Parnas wrote. "But here’s the truth: He’s being stopped. Stopped by Stephen Witkoff, who’s acting as a backchannel between Trump, Putin, and Iran. And stopped by Vladimir Putin, who’s playing a long game—and needs Iran to survive."
As to why Putin "can't let Trump strike yet," Parnas states, "Putin doesn’t want Iran’s regime to collapse. He needs it."
"Iran is a critical cog in Putin’s shadow empire: It moves oil for Russia through its sanctioned fleets. It keeps the Middle East unstable—exactly how Putin likes it. It funnels narco money, arms, and influence across Latin America, Africa, and Europe," he added, saying that "most importantly" was, "Putin has over 600 Russian scientists inside Iran’s nuclear facilities."
"He said so on the record this week. That was no fluke—it was a warning to Trump and Israel: don’t even think about it," Parnas wrote. "And Trump? He heard it loud and clear. At the same time, Trump is dealing with something he didn’t expect: a MAGA civil war."
