The president plunged his country into a constitutional crisis when he declared military rule in an unexpected midnight address.

Shocking scenes shows the South Korean military attempt to storm the country’s parliament as they clashed with protesters in the early hours of the morning.

Lawmakers successfully voted on Saturday to remove Yoon from office after his spectacular martial law U-turn last week.

204 out of 300 cast their votes to remove the leader on allegations of insurrection.

This meant members of his own People Power Party voted against the leader.
