Saudi Arabia prepares for the “worst-case scenario" for the Hajj

Saudi authorities are preparing to prevent mass casualties due to the extreme heat during the Hajj. Around 1,300 people lost their lives during last year’s major Muslim pilgrimage, which took place under scorching temperatures reaching 51.8°C.
