MULTIPLE people have been left injured after a car smashed into a crowd in Copenhagen.

An elderly man is believed to have lost control behind the wheel before ploughing into walkers near to Queen Louise’s Bridge, according to Denmark’s emergency services.

Police said at least five people are known to have been involved in the collision.

Copenhagen Police confirmed the crash and said multiple teams are at the scene at Sortedam Dossering.

Horrified witness Henny Christiansen said: “The car drove into these table and bench sets in front of the store, and they fly into the air, and people scream.”
