Moca Foundation Announces Launch Of Moca Chain, Layer 1 Blockchain Built for Identity and User Data

Moca Foundation has announced plans to launch its Layer 1 blockchain, Moca Chain. The blockchain will be a self-sovereign, privacy-preserving, user verification platform that supports the development of identity protocols.

Protocols can be built in different industries, allowing individuals, devices, and AI agents to control, unify, and verify their digital credentials without relying on centralized platforms. Integrations with consumer applications will accelerate user-centric yet privacy-preserving growth.

The testnet and mainnet are expected to launch in Q3 and Q4 of 2025, respectively. They will allow user data verification both online and offline. Such verification can be done via any application on any chain through Moca’s decentralized data storage, cross-chain identity oracle, and web proof data generation (zkTLS).

The blockchain will operate as a modular, EVM-compatible chain that is interoperable with other chains to provide the identity and data layer for partners and adopters. MOCA Coin will be the core token for gas, validator staking, storage, oracle, data generation, and verification fees.
