Despite market volatility and reported losses, institutional BTC inflows and Saylor’s conviction signal growing confidence in Bitcoin’s long-term value.
According to the latest BTC Market Watch shared by Crypto News Flash (CNF), prediction either MicroStrategy will liquidate its Bitcoin assets was anticipated. Michael Saylor’s unwavering belief in Bitcoin has once again taken center stage as his company, Strategy, unveils an ambitious plan to raise $84 billion for additional Bitcoin acquisitions.
Market sees that this move not only underscores Saylor’s commitment to Bitcoin but also signals a significant shift in corporate investment strategies. As detailed in his recent tweet, $MSTR announced BTC yield of 13.7% and BTC $ gain of $5.8B year-to-date.

Furthermore, this also doubles capital plan to $42B equity and $42B fixed income to purchase Bitcoin, and increases BTC yield target from 15% to 25% and BTC $ gain target from $10B to $15B for 2025.
Market Response: Bitcoin’s Price Surge
According to recent markets, the announcement has had a palpable impact on the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin’s price has surged past the $96,000 mark, currently trading at approximately $97,012.10. This uptick reflects growing investor confidence and aligns with projections that Bitcoin could reach $96,000 by May 2025.
Nevertheless, institutional interest remains robust, with Invesco’s Bitcoin ETF recording a daily inflow of $10.6 million on May 2, 2025. Such inflows suggest that institutional investors are increasingly viewing Bitcoin as a viable asset class, further validating Strategy’s aggressive investment approach.
Financial Implications: Balancing Gains and Losses
According to reports, despite posting a $5.8 billion gain from its Bitcoin holdings year-to-date, Strategy reported a net loss of $4.2 billion in Q1 2025. This dichotomy highlights the volatility inherent in cryptocurrency investments and raises questions about the sustainability of such aggressive strategies.
Nevertheless, Saylor remains undeterred, viewing Bitcoin as the “apex property of the human race” and a superior store of value compared to traditional assets like gold.
A Bold Bet on Bitcoin’s Future
In March alone, as CNF analyst revealed, MicroStrategy adds 22,048 BTC at $86,969 each—total Bitcoin stash hits 528K. Strategy’s $84 billion investment plan represents a significant vote of confidence in Bitcoin’s long-term value proposition.
As Bitcoin continues to gain mainstream acceptance and institutional backing, Strategy’s bold bet may well pay off, solidifying its status as a pioneer in the integration of cryptocurrency into corporate finance.
Bitcoin is trading at approximately $96,963.55, reflecting a 2.22% increase in the past day and 4.11% in the past week. See BTC price chart below.
