Madagascar military leader to become transitional president

Madagascar's Colonel Michael Randrianirina will be sworn in as transitional president after the armed forces seized power, following the impeachment of former president Andry Rajoelina. The military dissolved institutions, vowing elections within 18 to 24 months. The African Union suspended Madagascar, and the UN expressed concern over the unconstitutional change.
