Indian PM vows to divert key water resources amid tensions with Pakistan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged Tuesday to stop the flow of water from India into neighbouring countries, a move that has sharply escalated tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals. Pakistan has warned that any interference with its river flows would be considered an “act of war”.
