Gaza 'on the brink of a full-scale famine,' says UN agencies

UN agencies on Tuesday warned that due to Israel's increasingly stringent blockade on aid entering Gaza, Palestinians in the territory are "on the brink of a full-scale famine." Israel continues to deny that claims of Palestinians facing starvation in the besieged enclave are false, despite reports that 20,000 children in Gaza were admitted to hospitals for severe malnutrition between April and mid-July.
