French side Lyon relegated to Ligue 2 due to poor financial state

French football's financial watchdog has confirmed the relegation of French giants Lyon to Ligue 2 after club officials failed to demonstrate that the club had sufficiently improved their financial situation. Lyon are set to appeal the decision.
