French lawmakers to promote Dreyfus 130 years after anti-Semitic scandal

The lower house of the French parliament is expected on Monday to unanimously approve the retroactive promotion to the rank of brigadier general of Alfred Dreyfus, 130 years after the Jewish French army captain was wrongly convicted for treason in one of France’s notorious cases of anti-Semitism.
