France to enshrine consent in sexual violence law in wake of Pelicot case

France's Senate will likely give final approval Wednesday to a bill changing the legal definition of rape and other sexual assault to include a lack of consent following the widely publicised Gisèle Pelicot mass rape trial. The country's far right was the only parliamentary grouping to vote against the law in the lower house National Assembly last week.
