France: PM Lecornu suspends controversial pension reform

Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu told parliament on Tuesday that controversial plans for pension reform would be delayed until after the 2027 French presidential election. Lecornu's government, which took office on Monday, is already facing no-confidence motions tabled by the left-wing France Unbowed and far-right National Rally.
