  • Floki Inu reveals FlokiTars NFT can be burned to unlock exclusive in-game features and rare Viking-themed items in Valhalla.
  • Valhalla becomes an official partner of the Baroda Premier League 2025 with full branding across 24 cricket matches in India.

Floki Inu is making a splash again. Through its latest announcement, the team behind this crypto meme project stated that NFT FlokiTars will play a major role in their metaverse game, Valhalla. Not just as a display in a digital wallet, FlokiTars will actually be the key to unlocking various features and bonuses in the game. The mechanism is simple: players can “burn” the NFT to get exclusive rewards.

Imagine you are playing an RPG, then given a choice: do you want a rare item, a Viking-themed visual effect, or a wearable like Helmitar? Well, you can get all of that by sacrificing one Flokitar. But make no mistake, once burned, the NFT is gone forever. On the other hand, this creates scarcity because the number of Flokitar will decrease over time. Interesting, right?

Furthermore, this step is actually quite smart. Many crypto projects only put NFTs as visual collections. But Floki takes a different path—they embed real functions into their game. If usually NFTs are just avatars that perch on profiles, in Valhalla, they are strategic assets.

Flokitars: A Key NFT in the Floki Ecosystem

Launched in 2021, Flokitars are a notable part of the Floki ecosystem, selling out in just 31 minutes and raising $1.4 million for the Million Gardens Movement, a philanthropic initiative led by Kimbal Musk.

Floki Inu: Metaverse and Indian Cricket League Collaboration

But what makes this story even more interesting is Floki’s expansion into the real world. Valhalla has also just been announced as the Official Partner of the Baroda Premier League 2025—a prestigious domestic cricket tournament hosted by the Baroda Cricket Association. To some, this might seem like a strange mix. But think again: crypto, NFTs, metaverse, and cricket? In India? That’s a big market.

The tournament will be held from June 15 to 29 at the BCA Stadium, Vadodara. All 24 matches will be broadcast live on Star Sports Khel TV channel and OTT platform Fancode. And interestingly, Valhalla branding will be everywhere: from pitchside billboards, LED screens, ropes, to giant screens. So, even if you’re just watching the match from home, you’ll still see the Valhalla name on various corners of the screen.

This isn’t just a regular promotional strategy, it’s Floki’s way of showing that they’re serious about playing in both worlds: digital and physical. On the one hand, they’re developing an in-game NFT mechanism. On the other hand, they are embedding the Valhalla brand in the midst of a sports culture that has millions of fans. This combination is rare, especially for a crypto project.

As we have previously reported, Valhalla is scheduled to launch its mainnet version on June 30, 2025. This game is an NFT-based MMORPG that allows players to farm, complete quests, fight in PvP mode, join a guild system, and take part in the game’s internal economy. All of this strengthens Floki’s position as a project that is building a metaverse with an integrated approach.

Meanwhile, as of press time, FLOKI is trading at about $0.00008544, up 1.07% over the last 24 hours and its market cap is at about $822.49 million.
