New Veras and Vera Essence Shake Up Floki’s Battle Strategy

The three new Veras—Orni, Grabbur, and Trojun—immediately stole the show. They didn’t come with the usual style. Imagine a previously monotonous battle becoming more lively with lava sprays, swift punches, and unexpected flying ice shards. Moreover, players are now free to choose the order of actions during their turn.

So, it’s not just about strength, but also about when and how you play them. One thing worth noting: you can no longer bring two of the same Veras into battle. This may leave some players scratching their heads, but it also adds to the variety of strategies.

What also caught our attention was the presence of Vera Essence, a new resource that appeared on Floki Island. Each Vera species has its own type of Essence, and it can be used to track certain Vera. You can get it by fighting or releasing high-level Vera in the Daycare.

But reportedly, this Essence will have more functions in the future. So, if anyone asks should you save it or use it? The answer is: both are important.

Floki Inu Expands Gameplay with FlokiTars and Enchanted Amulets

On the other hand, FlokiTars owners have good news. Now they can transfer FlokiTars NFTs directly to their characters via the stash feature, then exchange them at the Blacksmith to get rare items.

But wait—this isn’t just for style. It turns out that these NFTs are the key to unlocking various important features in the game, including exclusive rewards. A few weeks ago we reported that these NFTs could be “burned” for rewards. Well, now that feature is officially here.

Furthermore, the Amulet system has also been upgraded. While previously it only functioned as an accessory, now the Amulet can be enchanted to increase Vera’s stats. Players can also sacrifice other Veras to strengthen the Amulet. It feels like you’re sacrificing a lamb to the god of war—it hurts, but the results are worth it. But be careful, transferring Vera to a new Amulet means the old Amulet will be gone forever.

However, it’s not just about combat and items. Floki also added a health regeneration system that requires Vera to take a short break after fighting. If you rush, Vera will be weak and lose the next round. Luckily, Daycare can speed up the recovery process and give bonus EXP if Vera is left for more than 12 hours.

On the other hand, the spirit of competition is back with a racing feature wrapped in an Easter style. Players can compete to climb hills on Floki Island and show off their skills. It feels like playing Mario Kart but the Viking version—a little more brutal and without rubber tires.

In addition to technical updates such as clearer tooltip displays and visual improvements when actions are locked, Floki Inu has also taken advantage of this moment by launching a four-week Reddit campaign.

The campaign is aimed at capturing crypto gamers from the US, India, and LATAM, with video ads on popular subreddits. It’s a kind of maneuver to expand to a wider market before Valhalla actually releases on mainnet.

Interestingly, Floki Inu’s activities don’t just happen in the virtual world. They’ve also started to expand into the real world through sponsorship of sports events like “Play on the Pitch,” which combines football, children, and the Web3 world.

Their branding has even been attached to cricket and education. It’s not impossible that in the future we’ll see Floki side by side with the logo of a big football club—who knows?

Besides that, as of press time, FLOKI is trading at about $0.00006483, up 2.32% over the last 24 hours, with daily trading volume at about $73.71 million.
