  • WEMIX now uses Chainlink CCIP to enable direct USDC transfers from Ethereum without wrapping or centralized bridge risks.
  • Chainlink expands into AI and banking, offering tools for developers and enabling cross-chain transactions with institutions like JPMorgan.

Blockchain platform WEMIX has officially partnered with Chainlink as its main partner and made CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) the only cross-chain solution used in their ecosystem.

While crypto projects usually rely on various bridges or protocols for transfers between networks, WEMIX chooses a single path that they believe is the safest and most stable—and yes, that is Chainlink’s CCIP.

CCIP Enables Smooth Cross-Chain USDC Flow for WEMIX Users

With this integration, users can now send USDC stablecoins directly from Ethereum to WEMIX3.0 without the need for wrapping. The process is carried out directly and automatically. The result? Transactions are much faster, with minimal risk, and no need to worry about security holes in centralized bridges that are often easy targets for hackers.

Furthermore, it’s not just regular USDC that is supported. Chainlink CCIP also facilitates a burn-and-mint mechanism for USDC.e, allowing stablecoins to be burned on one network and minted on the WEMIX network.

The picture is like this: it’s as if you pay in one place, and the money appears in the hands of the recipient in another place without anything getting stuck in the middle of the road. Practical and efficient.

For WEMIX, which has been known for its focus on blockchain-based gaming, this step can be said to be very strategic. With the presence of USDC and USDC.e which can be transferred directly and securely, game developers can create an in-game economic system that is more realistic, stable, and acceptable to the global market.

Just imagine, when players from abroad want to buy in-game assets, they can immediately use USDC without having to convert or go through a complicated process. This not only makes things easier, but can also be a special attraction to attract new players who have always found crypto complicated.

Chainlink Expands Beyond Gaming With AI Tools and Banking Use Cases

But wait, this isn’t just about cross-chain transactions. CNF previously also reported that Chainlink had secretly integrated their technology with an AI-based search tool. This tool allows developers to search for references in technical documents or articles in a much easier and faster way. For developers whose lives are full of piles of whitepapers, this could be a mental savior.

Chainlink does seem to be increasingly active in uniting the two worlds: AI and blockchain. In fact, in mid-June, they were involved in a large transaction with JPMorgan and Ondo Finance.

They successfully completed a cross-chain Delivery versus Payment transaction using CCIP.This is where the power of CCIP starts to be felt—because Chainlink is not only targeting retail players or game developers, but also opening a path for banks to adopt smart contracts directly, without having to sacrifice their traditional systems.

On the other hand, OlympusDAO has also adopted CCIP as its main cross-chain bridge, starting with Solana and expanding to several other major chains. The reason? CCIP gives them full control over the cross-chain tokens they create, without having to rely on external vendors. Logically, it’s like driving your own car versus taking a taxi—more flexible and can stop anywhere.

As of press time, LINK is trading at about $13.12, up 2.74% over the last 12 hours and its market cap is at about $8.89 billion.
