Bitget, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 platform, spotlighted its ongoing social impact initiatives at the Harvard Blockchain Conference.
Chief Operating Officer Vugar Usi represented the company, sharing its growth story and reaffirming its mission to cultivate the next generation of Web3 leaders through key educational programs.
In a featured keynote session, Bitget was presented as a case study in effective venture building. Usi outlined the company’s strategic approach, built around three foundational pillars: product development, targeted marketing, and diversified revenue models. The session delivered practical insights for students, hackathon participants, and budding entrepreneurs. Particularly, they showcased how to craft compelling pitches, navigate the Web3 startup landscape, and accelerate project growth.
Notably, Usi also emphasized the ongoing efforts to bridge traditional Web 2.0 platforms with emerging Web 3.0 technologies. He cited high-profile collaborations, including partnerships with LaLiga and Lionel Messi’s “Make It Count” campaign, as examples of how global brand alliances can amplify impact across both centralized and decentralized ecosystems.
A central focus of Bitget’s presentation was its Blockchain4Youth initiative—a $10 million global program designed to empower young talent through educational partnerships with leading universities. With more than 60 institutions on board, including Harvard and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the program is designed to foster transferable skills and promote lifelong learning in blockchain and digifi.
In a session dedicated to female innovators in the blockchain space, Usi also introduced Blockchain4Her, Bitget’s initiative focused on providing mentorship and funding to women leading Web3 innovation. The initiative promotes diversity and strives to amplify underrepresented perspectives in the blockchain sector.
In addition, Usi led a focused workshop for students from Harvard’s Department of Quantitative Economics. During this workshop, the team used its native token, $BGB, as a real-world example to explain key principles of pricing models, tokenomics, and sustainable crypto economics.
Reflecting on the event, Usi remarked:
“Returning to my alma mater and addressing some of the brightest minds in the world is a true honor. Harvard represents the pinnacle of innovation and intellectual advancement. At Bitget, we believe that empowering top talent is vital for the future of Web3. Through initiatives like Blockchain4Youth, we are committed to equipping the next generation with the tools and knowledge to shape the decentralized future.”
