Australia ready to recognise Palestinian state at UN in September, PM says

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Monday that Australia's recognition of a Palestinian state would be predicated on commitments Australia received from the Palestinian Authority, including that Islamist militant group Hamas would have no involvement in any future state.
