African football chief 'confident' AFCON 2025 will go ahead despite protests in Morocco

African football boss Patrice Motsepe said on Monday he is “absolutely confident” the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will go ahead in Morocco, despite more than a week of anti-government protests. Young Moroccans marched for a ninth straight night on Sunday demanding an end to corruption and a change of government.
